Explain the change you need.
Start with the reason for the project. Describe what has changed, what is difficult today, and what a useful result would allow you to do. A clear problem gives the team a better starting point than a list of visual preferences.
Set the boundaries.
List the main deliverables, the people who need to review the work, and any date the project must support. Share the budget range and the content or assets you already have. Mark open questions so the team can discuss them early.
Agree the next decision.
Use the first conversation to confirm the scope, the process, and the next step. A good brief does not need to answer every question. It needs to make the important questions visible. The project planner in this template can help you prepare that first outline.
